In this article Black indicates that citizens can judge Obama or any other political leader’s preferences, not by their ideological arguments and promises but from their actions. Judging from Obama’s actual decisions, writes Black, one can conclude that he prefers sequester, which in fact constitutes an irrational austerity measure that will intensify recession and impede recovery for the majority of US citizens. Black explains the economic logic of sequester and austerity during a severe recession. Black says that both Republicans and the Obama administration are responsible for the current sequester threat and provides facts and arguments to show this.
